Four things that will improve your skin (and wont cost a dime!)
So, you've been investing in skincare but not seeing the results you've been promised. Super frustrating, right? A good skincare routine plays a huge part in our complexion, but it isn't the whole picture. This can be easy to forget, but a glowing complexion is like a puzzle - there are so many pieces needed to make it possible.
Here are a few things you can do which will help you on your journey to radiant, blemish-free skin
- Stop touching your face! We hate to sound like your mum, but this is a huge contributor to your breakouts. Your hands touch so many surfaces over the day, and this leads to dirt, oil and bacteria sitting on your hands. By touching your face with dirty hands, you are spreading that dirt from your hands onto your face. This can lead to your pores becoming clogged and breakouts occurring.
- Change your pillow covers regularly. When you sleep, your skins sweat, oils and even saliva (ick) will be absorbed by your pillowcase. By consistently sleeping on a dirty pillowcase, you are resting your head on an unhygienic surface for 6+ hours a day. By changing your pillow covers at least once every 7 days, you will be giving your cheeks the beauty sleep they deserve.
- Fill that water bottle up and don't stop! An oldie but a goodie. We know you've heard this 100 times, but we promise you will see amazing results by increasing your water intake on a daily basis. Water works hard to keep your body hydrated and maintain your skin's elasticity. People who drink large amounts of water see a reduction in scarring, wrinkles and soft lines. It can also help reduce the frequency of breakouts.
- Remove that makeup PROPERLY! Wearing makeup is one of the many joys in life and we are not here to tell you to stop, but we are here to tell you that it's possible you're not taking it off correctly. If you are a makeup lover then double cleansing is one of the best things you can do for your skin. We recommend using a foaming or gel cleanser that works to remove your makeup, and then going over your skin with a Konjac Sponge. Our Konjac Sponges will help to clear up the dirt, oil and toxins left on your skin from the day (those pesky hands are at it again...) Remember that our Konjac Sponges not only work to cleanse your skin, but to gently exfoliate too! This means your skin is getting the deluxe treatment of a clinic, every night in your very own bathroom.
